YOUR POLO SWING: BEFORE AND AFTER

I wanted to show you what rapid improvement in your game can mean in practice.

Meet Neil, a zero goal player from England. He came with an open mind and a question of how to improve his hitting ability.

We took his swing from hitting the ball close to the floor and just a few yards, to a more consistent ball in the air and much further distance in just a few days.

If he can do it so can you!

WHAT MAKES THE PERFECT POLO SWING?

This week I was tasked with helping a one goal player from the UK with his swing.

He asked me to help him to increase the distance he can hit the ball, both on the move and for penalty taking.

It sometimes takes some time to undo ten years of bad habits, yet in two weeks we managed to de-construct the swing so that he is now able to hit the ball 60 yards.  We also did some game play coaching to help him to make quick decisions about how to score more goals in a match situation.

POLO ELBOW

Everyone's heard of tennis elbow, but did you know you can get polo elbow too?

Many of the problems stem from the type of swing a player is in the habit of taking. Issues can happen when your wrist ends up doing a lot of the work instead of your straight arm at the end of the swing.

I also teach students to use their whole body weight when swinging through which should help you avoid it in the long term.
